Privacy Policy
Effective date: August 11, 2026. This policy explains how the Ignite HRT website handles personal information and the choices available to you.
Matthew Brown ND, LLC, doing business as Ignite HRT (“Ignite HRT,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), operates this website and clinics in Gresham and Beaverton, Oregon. This policy applies to information handled through this public website. For health information in your patient record, applicable law and our Health Information Privacypage describe how it is handled. Consumers protected by Washington's My Health My Data Act can also read our Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy for consumer health data covered by that Act.
Information handled through this website
- Website and device information: our hosting and security providers may automatically process an IP address, browser and device type, requested page, referring page, date and time, and diagnostic or security logs needed to deliver and protect the website.
- Online scheduling and the patient portal: the scheduling page embeds a service operated by CharmHealth, and the patient portal links to CharmHealth. CharmHealth receives information needed to load those services and any information you choose to submit. Appointment and patient information received by Ignite HRT may become part of your health record.
- Appointment-request form:if you use the optional appointment-request form on this site, we receive the name, phone number, email address, the service you are interested in, location and scheduling preferences, and any optional message you submit. Submissions are delivered to us by email through Resend, an email delivery provider acting as a service provider; if that delivery path is unavailable, submissions are instead processed by Netlify, the website's hosting provider, and delivered to us by email. We use this information only to respond to your request, and we ask that you not include medical or other health details in the form.
- Phone, text, and email communications: if you contact us using a phone, SMS, or email link on this site, we and the relevant communications provider receive your contact details and the content you choose to send. Mobile numbers and text opt-in information are never shared with or sold to third parties or affiliates for marketing.
- Maps:pages that display a location map load an embedded Google Maps panel. Google may receive technical data, such as your IP address and device information, and may use cookies or similar technologies under its own privacy terms. Google's practices are described in the Google Privacy Policy.
Apart from the appointment-request form described above, this website has no other contact form or newsletter sign-up, and it does not include an advertising pixel or a third-party marketing analytics script. The site fonts are served from our own website rather than loaded from Google at visit time.
How we use your information
- Provide, maintain, troubleshoot, and secure the website
- Respond when you contact us or request an appointment
- Operate scheduling, patient-portal, and clinic services
- Detect fraud, abuse, security incidents, and technical problems
- Comply with legal, regulatory, and professional obligations
When information may be disclosed
We may disclose information to service providers that help us host, secure, or operate the website and clinic systems; to professional advisers; when you direct us to do so; or when disclosure is required or permitted by law. Their handling of information is subject to their agreements with us and applicable law.
Under the website configuration described in this policy, we do not sell or rent personal information and do not share website information for cross-context behavioral advertising. Medical information may be used or disclosed as described on our Health Information Privacy page.
Service providers and external services
- Website hosting and security providers, including Netlify, deliver the site, process technical logs needed for performance, reliability, and security, and serve as the backup processor for appointment-request form submissions on our behalf.
- Resend is the email delivery provider that transmits appointment-request form submissions to us. It processes the contact details, selected service, scheduling preferences, and any message you provide, solely to deliver the submission, under its own service terms and its agreements with us.
- CharmHealth provides online scheduling, electronic health record, and patient portal services. Information submitted there is handled under CharmHealth's privacy policy and terms and our applicable patient-privacy obligations.
- Google Mapsprovides the embedded location maps and directions. Maps load when a page displays them, and using one is also subject to Google's privacy policy.
- Review and social platforms receive information under their own privacy policies only if you choose an external Google, Yelp, Facebook, Instagram, or X link.
Cookies and similar technologies
Ignite HRT does not currently place analytics or advertising cookies through this website. Hosting and security services may use essential technologies, and embedded services such as Google Maps or CharmHealth may use their own cookies or similar technologies. You can block cookies or embedded content in your browser, although maps or scheduling may then be unavailable.
Please use care with medical information
Ordinary email and SMS may not be encrypted. Please do not send diagnoses, medication details, medical photographs, or other sensitive health information by ordinary email or text. The appointment-request form is for contact and scheduling preferences only — please do not include medical or health details there; those are discussed privately during your consultation. Existing patients should use the patient portal or call us for instructions. Do not use this website, email, text, or portal messaging for emergencies; call 911.
Retention and security
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described above, to maintain appropriate records, and to satisfy legal or regulatory requirements. Retention periods vary by the type of information. We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards, but no website or transmission method can be guaranteed completely secure.
Your choices and requests
You may ask to access, correct, or delete personal information you have provided outside your medical record. We will evaluate and respond to verified requests as required by applicable law. Medical-record and patient-privacy requests are handled as described on our Health Information Privacy page. You can also limit embedded services through browser privacy settings or use the direct phone number instead of online scheduling.
Children's privacy
This public website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information online from a child under 13 without authorization required by law. If you believe a child has provided information through the website, please contact us.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when our website, services, or legal obligations change. The effective date above identifies the current version. Material changes will be posted here before or when they take effect, as applicable.
